Overview
Please use the following information for selecting Data Security Diode Data Sheets:

  • Each product Data Sheet (PDF) includes representative model numbers for both Fast and Gigabit Ethernet data rates. 
  • Canary Data Security Diodes are grouped into two physical installation categories:

A. Single Location / Single Point:  (Diode functions and user I/O Links are in a single device at a one location).

B. Dual Location / Multi-Point:  (Diodes are deployed in Linked pairs with one Security Diode associated with       an un-secured network and one associated with a high-security network.  Diode functions & I/O Links are    distributed between the two Fiber inter-linked units with one Diode functioning as a Transmit-only device and the other Diode as a Receive-only device).

            Legacy, Uni-Directional [D/DR] Converters are more limited, Dual Location devices.

  • Canary Data Security Diodes are further classified by the underlying Ethernet protocol (data rate) used for transport e.g. Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet.
