CMX-1011 Media Converter

The CMX-1011/1012 series of Managed media converters are available with a variety of interfaces to provide 100 Mbs copper-to-fiber conversion. SNMP Management ready, CMX-1011/1012 converters enable network managers to remotely monitor networked connections quickly and easily via the RJ-45 (in-band) or RS-232 (out-of-band) ports that are linked to the 'master' management application. Using single-mode or Extended Reach single-mode connectors, CMX-1011/1012 converters can extend enterprise LAN management and configuration to a range of 60 km.  The CMX-1011/1012  family is designed to be 'plug-an-go', and for hassle-free integration into managed or unmanaged, multi-media networks.

Management and Fault Detection Capability - Full SNMP and Web Management, Loopback Test, Link Fault Signaling, among other features, make the CMX-1011/1012 media converters a powerful addition to networks that require managed devices coupled with hassle-free deployments.  CMX-1011/1012 media converters take advantage of lower-cost, multi-mode and single-mode, fiber installations to deliver well Managed Ethernet/Fast Ethernet across the network.

Cabling Flexibility – Compatible with multi-mode, single-mode, and long-haul single-mode fiber optic cabling, the CMX-1011/1012 family is capable of supporting networking distances of up to 60 km and meet standard IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet) and 802.3u (Fast Ethernet) protocols.

Link Fault Signaling - The LFS LED will immediately become lit to indicate when a cable has been severed or some other cause of disruption in service has occurred.

Loopback Test - The Loopback Test is a key management and reliability feature of the CMX-1011/1012 family; it provides an instant visual status of the entire cable path - from local connection to re-mote sites.

Simplified Troubleshooting - SNMP management and diagnostic LEDs minimize lost time spent by network administrators detecting and location the source of network problems formerly done by the visual inspection of cabling and equipment.

Easy Implementation - Integrated MDE/MDI-X auto-crossover and 10/100 auto-negotiation capabilities make the CMX-1011/1012 series simple to deploy within a network.  Additionally, the CMX-1011/1012 series slim housings are ideal for installation in locations with limited space.
