Smart Management – Flexible network configuration and management options translate into increased efficiency and performance in network administration.  The unit is configured via the RS-232 Console port for selecting services such as VLANS, speed, duplex modes, flow control, and Quality of Service (QoS). Formal SNMP management applications are not needed!

Scalability - Designed as a Configurable Access Point, administrators can launch subscriber lines with 8 ports and then add modules to have 16 or 24 ports as the number of subscribers grows.  By connecting up to 4 switches together, it is possible for network administrators to cascade 96-ports on a single uplink connection.

VLAN Support - The CSX-2400G supports port-based VLANs that eases network traffic segmentation and  broadcast domain extension.  The CSX-2400G delivers the increased network security and performance offered by VLANs, plus with VLAN tagging, it permits the maximum length of an Ethernet frame to be extended from 1518-bytes to 1522-bytes.
