Canary’s CSC-2D9MX (multi-mode) and CSC-2D9SX (single-mode) family of value-priced, stand alone media converters are specifically designed for linking serial RS-232 devices over multi-mode and single-mode fiber cable to host computers at up to 120Kbps data rates. They provide highly reliable connections with good electromagnetic, radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI), and electrical surge immunity. They are ideal for environments employing industrial sensors and process control, remote sensing and surveillance, and other remote access applications using RS-232 connectors.
